With breed preservation as our objective, we are dedicated to producing top-quality Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Our breeding program is meticulously planned to prioritise health, conformation (adhering to the Breed Standard), temperament, and companionship.
-
Health: We prioritise the health of our dogs through regular veterinary check-ups and ensuring that DNA testing has been conducted prior to introducing a dog to our breeding program, to mitigate breed-specific concerns. This ensures that any dog that tests positive for breed-specific diseases and traits can either be excluded from a breeding program, or paired strategically with a non-carrier to ensure uneffected puppies.
-
Conformation: By adhering to the Breed Standard, we ensure that our Corgis exemplify the physical characteristics that define the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Our careful selection of breeding pairs helps maintain the breed's integrity and heritage.
-
Temperament: A good temperament is crucial for a well-rounded companion. We focus on breeding Pembroke Corgis with friendly, stable, and adaptable temperaments, making them ideal for various home environments.
-
Companionship: Our Pembrokes are bred to be loving companions. Whether they are part of an active family or a quieter home, our puppies are raised to be affectionate and loyal pets.
Our Environment
Our dogs reside in a smoke-free home where they experience both indoor and outdoor environments. This balanced exposure helps them adapt to various living situations and ensures they receive ample exercise and stimulation.
Socialisation
Early socialisation is a cornerstone of our breeding program. From a young age, our puppies are exposed to different sounds, sights, people, and other animals. This helps them grow into well-adjusted and confident adults.
Continuous Learning
We are committed to advancing our knowledge through ongoing learning and practical experience. This includes attending seminars, collaborating with other breeders, and staying up to date on the latest research and best practices in dog breeding, rearing, training, handling and nutrition.
